For over 15 years now photography has been my main passion. Since having two pregnancies and births of my own, the experience of birth has joined that passion. Last year I decided to join my passions of photography and birth and enter into offering birth photography. This is something I am incredibly passionate about, and something I very much wish I could have engaged for my own two births. Unfortunately for my first I didn't think of it, and for my second...well, covid ruined that one. This grainy phone photo snapped by my midwife is all I have of my second labour, however it is an image I treasure regardless. I had 5 births lined up for 2020 to photograph and start my birth photography journey, however due to covid restrictions on labour ward numbers I was sadly unable to attend any of these births. Now in 2021, as things begin to calm down, I am again searching for people willing to help me build my portfolio of birth photography. If you have been considering engaging a birth photographer for your upcoming birth, however are unable to afford the costs associated with these sessions, please get in contact with me. I am offering my first few sessions at next to no cost, only charging a small fee to cover travel and hospital parking rates. If you know of anyone who may be interested please send them my way and I can answer any questions they may have, I understand many are put off at the idea of having someone in the room for such an intense and private occasion. Also thoughts of not knowing what the labour could be like and what embarrassing things may happen can also put people off. I understand this completely, and believe me, having birthed my two children in two very different labours...those embarrassing things?.....I've done them all myself as well! I understand what images will be treasured, what images you're not likely to want, and will also meet with you prior to birth to discuss exactly the perimeters you'd like me to stick to. Lastly, this is YOUR day. I will disappear into the background of this, and it's likely amongst everything going on you will forget that I'm even there. However at the end of it all, you'll be left with images of the most incredible experience you'll ever have, that you can treasure for the rest of your life!

I had the pleasure of being named the winner of the Graingrowers Photo competition for the second year running with this photograph of my Dad and my son walking through the canola on our family farm. Thrilled to once again have one of my images on the cover of the Graingrowers calendar for 2021.
Hi Everyone,
It's that time of year again already...CHRISTMAS MINI SHOOT TIME! I had a fantastic time shooting the Aul family on Brighton-Le-Sands Beach this week as my first shoot to kick off the Xmas Mini's Season! The weather was perfect, albeit a little windy, but this just adds another dimension to the images. These shoots are a fantastic alternative to Traditional shopping centre Santa photos and create memories that will be treasured forever. Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE Christmas and everything about it. I've created these shoots to provide a relaxed and fun way for families to get festive photos that everyone will love, without the frustration that comes with lining up for mall Santa photos in crowds that will inevitably end in tears when your toddler is faced with an unfamiliar bearded man in a red suit (Trust me, I did 2 years of Santa photography years ago when I first moved to Sydney...in more that 50% of shoots the children were legitimately terrified of Santa!) In these shoots, aside from some great family photos by the Christmas tree, kids can take turns pulling the tree trolley along the beach (or trying to anyway), you can help decorate the tree as a family and get some great active shots of the kids dancing around the tree or giving each other the presents. All in all when the kids are happy and entertained with different setups we're more likely to get happy, fun relaxed photos of your family as they are. I've created 3 package options to cover for all budgets and needs. Package #1, Basic Mini:
Package #2, Silver session:
Package #3, Ultimate session:
Hurry, these sessions will book out fast! Can't wait to get festive with you and your family Soph x Any photographer knows that the most magical time of the day is the last hour of Sunlight for the day, or 'Magic hour' as it is known. The colour, warmth and magic of this light is breathtaking. This magical time of day is even more amazing when you get to spend it taking creating memories of kids as cheeky and amazing as the wonderful Finley! We spent the afternoon wandering through the long grass and adventuring as the sun went down. Days like these are why I do what I do. Thank you to Finley and his wonderful mum Belle for a wonderful afternoon!
There's nothing more precious than the first few weeks at home with your new baby, especially for first time parents. I had the absolute pleasure of hanging out with baby Wade and his amazing parents in their home space, getting to know each other as a family of three.
