![]() For over 15 years now photography has been my main passion. Since having two pregnancies and births of my own, the experience of birth has joined that passion. Last year I decided to join my passions of photography and birth and enter into offering birth photography. This is something I am incredibly passionate about, and something I very much wish I could have engaged for my own two births. Unfortunately for my first I didn't think of it, and for my second...well, covid ruined that one. This grainy phone photo snapped by my midwife is all I have of my second labour, however it is an image I treasure regardless. I had 5 births lined up for 2020 to photograph and start my birth photography journey, however due to covid restrictions on labour ward numbers I was sadly unable to attend any of these births. Now in 2021, as things begin to calm down, I am again searching for people willing to help me build my portfolio of birth photography. If you have been considering engaging a birth photographer for your upcoming birth, however are unable to afford the costs associated with these sessions, please get in contact with me. I am offering my first few sessions at next to no cost, only charging a small fee to cover travel and hospital parking rates. If you know of anyone who may be interested please send them my way and I can answer any questions they may have, I understand many are put off at the idea of having someone in the room for such an intense and private occasion. Also thoughts of not knowing what the labour could be like and what embarrassing things may happen can also put people off. I understand this completely, and believe me, having birthed my two children in two very different labours...those embarrassing things?.....I've done them all myself as well! I understand what images will be treasured, what images you're not likely to want, and will also meet with you prior to birth to discuss exactly the perimeters you'd like me to stick to. Lastly, this is YOUR day. I will disappear into the background of this, and it's likely amongst everything going on you will forget that I'm even there. However at the end of it all, you'll be left with images of the most incredible experience you'll ever have, that you can treasure for the rest of your life!

I had the pleasure of being named the winner of the Graingrowers Photo competition for the second year running with this photograph of my Dad and my son walking through the canola on our family farm. Thrilled to once again have one of my images on the cover of the Graingrowers calendar for 2021.
